In collaboration with the Visit Davao Fun Sale (VDFS) through its Executive Committee Chair Benjie Lizada and the Department of Tourism XI through its Regional Director Robert Alabado, Mayor Carlo P. Rabat of the City Government of Mati will hold summer sport events. This was disclosed by LGU City of Mati Administrative Officer Dashiel Indelible Jr. during the media forum on Wednesday, 29 March at Abreeza Ayala Mall, Davao City.

Summer fun in Dahican is an annual summer activity in the City of Mati for further entertainment of the locals as well as of the guests and tourists. This time, it will showcase big three sport events namely Ultimate Frisbee challenge and national skim boarding competition which will be launched on April 22-23 at Menzi Beach Park & Campsite and Amihan sa Dahican and beach volleyball slated on May 19-21.

Becoming the eco-tourism destination in the region, there are so many things to do in Mati. With this, Alabado ensured to put a “special spotlight” in the City. Indelible on the other hand also shared that these activities would guarantee fun this summer at the same time strongly uphold environmental protection as well as solid waste management programs for the safeguarding of these resources.

“In line with Mati’s tourism slogan, I LOVE MATI, people will surely love our place,” said Indelible. Because in Mati, there is so much FUN.

The conference was closed through the signing of the memorandum of agreement for a successful holding of said events.
