Twenty students from the Islamic Science University of Malaysia are in the City of Mati from January 28 until January 31 as part of their university’s educational tour.

The students are headed by Professor Mohd Hafiz of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.

Hafiz said their trip to the City of Mati is part of their school’s educational trip outside Malaysia that mandatory for their students to graduate from college.

He said that one of his students has a relative in Dahican thus they came about the Revert Islam Da’wah Center which is part of their itinerary in the City of Mati.

The Malaysian students and their teacher also paid a courtesy call at the office of Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat who warmly welcomed the visitors.

Mayor Michelle told the foreign visitors to enjoy their stay in the city and explore the myriad of beaches, resorts and islands in the city.

The foreign students admitted being awed by Dahican beach and the famous Sleeping Dinosaur. They also plan to visit Pujada and Waniban islands on Thursday, January 30.

Mayor Michelle thanked the Malaysian visitors for taking interest on the City of Mati as she expressed her plan to also send some Mati students to Malaysia for an educational tour as well. (CIO MATI)
