“Access Enhanced” for the health programs is made more available after the City Government of Mati through the City Health Office received a Dental Health Bus from the Department of Health (DOH) in a simple turnover ceremony at Pelaez Activity Center, Cityhall Compound yesterday.
Mayor Carlo P. Rabat, together with City Health Officer Dr. Ben Hur Catbagan, personally received the bus fully equipped with dental apparatus. In his message, Mayor Carlo expressed his gratitude to the DOH for this provision which absolutely promotes his platform of continuing progress.
Moreover, Dr. Catbagan also shared during the ceremony that this unit indeed enhances their access to deliver medical services to the barrios and far flung areas because of its mobility and built in dental machinery features. A total package of a medical and dental outreach to the barangay can now be made possible.
On the other hand, Oral Health Manager Dr. Raul Delosa, representing DOH XI, shares the joy of the local government for this moment with the hope to freer and wider access of people to oral health care, in time with the celebration of the Dental Health Month.
Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Joselito Basilad officiated the sacramental blessing of the Dental Health Bus before the ceremony commenced.
The formality was well participated by City Health personnel, including Assistant City Health Officer Dr. Maribeth G. Hiponia, City Health Dentists Ceniza L. Torres and Lally Mae J. Serrano.
Furthermore, Drs. Jean Lim and Sara Jean Santos with Chesna Torroba, the Health Dentists of Tarragona and Caraga respectively, also graced the event with their presence.
