City of Mati headed by Mayor Carlo Rabat and Vice Mayor Glenda Rabat-Gayta receives due recognition from partner agencies for its collaborative efforts in strengthening stakeholders’ participation in health and disaster preparedness in the presence of the City Peace and Order Council.
City Health Officer Dr. Benhur Catbagan accepted the plaque of appreciation given by Department of Health Secretary Dr. Paulyn Jean B. Rosell-Ubial for its strict implementation of health programs leading to becoming a malaria-free-city during the Malaria Elimination Forum on November 23, 2016 at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga where he also shared as guest speaker the best health practices of the city.
On the other hand, Engr. Edwin Barrera of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Center got hold of the acclamation for the Davao Oriental Rescuers and Monitoring Stations Inc., (DREAMS RESCUE 166) as the Outstanding Volunteer Awardee by the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency during the ceremonial celebration of the National Volunteer Month on December 13, 2016 at Quezon City.
These are just among the acknowledgment of the city government as it disembarks on its platform to continuing progress.
