SAMBUOKAN COASTAL CLEAN UP

Fun in 2016 Sambuokan Festival celebration was not just all about entertainment but also Conservation, Protection and Respect for the Environment.
The annual coastal clean-up in the rich marine wildlife sanctuary, headed by the City Government of Mati’s Chief of Staff Tanya Rabat-Tan, and and this time with the introduction of the marine Ambassadors, Amikan (the Pawikan), Amigong (the Duong) and Buding (the Butanding) that ended with the physical fitness through zumba dance exercise, were very fitting to conclude Mati’s progressive festivity at Menzi Beach Park and Campsite, Dahican.
Our gratitude to the participants and partners in our environmental protection that made the activity a successful one – to the Philippine Navy, Philippine Navy Reserves, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliaries, Philippine Army (28th IB and 701st IB), Philippine Army Reserves, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Trade and Industry, National Food Authority, Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology, Warehouse TODA, Mati Mio Riders Club and city officials and employees led by City Councilors and Heads of Offices.
